Specialists of the company have carried out the erection of the lining, gas equipment installation, commissioning and training of plant personnel.

The new furnace is designed for heat treatment of large parts, forgings and blanks made of carbon, alloyed and stainless steel weighing up to 75 tons. Maximum processing temperature reaches 120000С. Width of the workspace of furnace chamber is 4500 mm, height - 4000 mm, length - 7400 mm. The equipment is fully automated. The furnace is equipped with modern ceramic fiber lining that returns 98% of the heat back into the furnace that in turn will reduce heat loss and provide savings of natural gas to 20%. Thanks to the installed recuperators that preheat the air, the additional gas saving of about 7-8% is achieved.

According to chief engineer Gregory Ishchenko, a thermal bogie hearth furnace is of particular performance. "Due to the wear-resistant fiber insulation and use of high-speed impulse burners heating and cooling of the furnace is reduced, thus declining the consumption of energy. A furnace significantly extends the technological capabilities of the enterprise and provides the production of higher quality products. The launch of this equipment will improve environmental performance, and increase corporate culture in the enterprise." He also noted that all the required permissions for the operation of the furnace were obtained, the first cages were conducted and the equipment was put into commercial operation. "This is the last 10th thermal furnace, which we launched under the reconstruction of foundry and metallurgical production. The final stage of the global reconstruction will be the modernization of two steel-making furnaces, which we plan to carry out in 2015," said G. Ishchenko.
