According to the Agreement the second stage of gas pipeline reconstruction has to be performed. Minnibaevo – Kazan gas trunkline has been constructed back in 1963 for gas transportation to the consumers of Kazan and nearby regions, including the regions beyond Kama. Its reconstruction has to be performed due to several reasons: Minnibaevo – Kazan gas pipeline has been operated at 100% capacity and the city suffered gas shortage in periods of peak demand, moreover gas distribution stations (GDS) and gas pipeline portion became the part of the urban area due to Kazan boundaries expansion.

The second stage of reconstruction covers three gas distribution stations relocation from the site development area, new GDS construction and GDS-5 reconstruction in Kazan. Along with this gas distribution networks will be constructed. The works for the second stage will last 9.5 month. The old gas pipeline will be dismantled after completion. As a result gas pipeline design capacity will become twice greater. This will allow to facilitate further development of the Republic of Tatarstan capital.
