TATNEFT Continues Developing the Corporate Program of APG Utilization
 In accordance with the corporate program for utilization of associated petroleum gas (APG) designed for 2009-2013 TATNEFT Company continues implementation of the most effective projects.
One of them is construction of an installation for utilization of associated petroleum gas at Elabuga UPS (preliminary water removal unit) of NGDU Prikamneft.
The Elabuga UPS, which is part of the crude oil treatment and pumping shop No.2 of NGDU Prikamneft, is designed for degassing, initial water removal and pumping crude oil to the installation of oil treatment and the treatment of waste water for the reservoir pressure maintenance system. The raw stock for Elabuga UPS is the formation liquid: gas/water/oil emulsion flowing from the wells of Elabuzhskoye and Biklyanskoye fields.
Four gas powered electrical generators with total capacity of 1,400 kW were installed at Elabuga UPS (preliminary water removal unit) of NGDU Prikamneft. Their use will allow increasing the ratio of associated gas utilization in OAO TATNEFT and thereby significantly reduce the emissions of gas flaring products into the atmosphere. In addition, gas will provide electricity supply for 46 wells at Elabuzhskoye field.
