TVEL Fuel Company to Perform Comprehensive Evaluation of Possible Ways to Improve New-Generation Gas Centrifuges
 The management of TVEL, a Rosatom fuel company, made a working visit to Centrotech-SPb CJSC (Saint-Petersburg), one of the leading design bureaus in the field of development and commercializing of equipment used to enrich uranium and obtain stable isotopes by gas-centrifuge technology.
During the visit the parties discussed ways to enhance performance of the enterprise, as well as opportunities to set up an institute of a general gas-centrifuge (GS) developer to support scientific and technical centralization of GS developers. In addition, a meeting was held between Yuri Olenin, Fuel Company’s President, and Centrotech-SPb employees.
Following the results of the visit, a decision was taken to perform a detailed and comprehensive evaluation of possible ways to improve new-generation gas centrifuges to speed up launching the manufacture and putting into operation of all promising innovations designed to improve the gas-centrifuge technology and reduce operational costs.
