Ukrtransgas Completes Project to Allow for Gas Transit from Slovakia
 Ukrtransgas completed a full range of works to create the technical opportunity to accept natural gas from Slovakia at the Uzhhorod compressor station. The project was conducted by the companу on schedule and at its own expense.
Following the latest negotiations between the operators of the gas transport systems of Ukraine (PJSC Ukrtransgas) and Slovakia (Eustream a.s.), technical aspects of border co-operation have been agreed.
As earlier reported, on April 28, Ukraine and Slovakia signed a Memo on reverse flow gas supplies from Slovakia to Ukraine.
In early July, Eustream reported successful completion of the Open Season procedure on acceptance of bids for delivery of gas to Ukraine via the territory of Slovakia.
Approximately two dozen European suppliers expressed interest in delivering gas to Ukraine through Slovakia, which in compliance with the Memo envisions an opportunity to commence gas supplies from September 1, 2014.
