Director of “Terminal Astafiev” Ruslan Kondratov accepted to participate in scheduled meeting with speaker of the Republic of Korea National Assembly Mr. Kang Chang Hee as a member of delegation headed by governor Vladimir Miklushevsky. During the meeting vice speaker of the Republic of Korea National Assembly asked a question about development of transportation infrastructure of Primorsky region since Korea power generation stations are very interested in Russian coal.

“A number of related projects are currently implemented in the region; coal “Terminal Astafiev” is under construction in Nakhodka city, large-scale projects are implemented in Vostochny port and Zarubino port. By 2015 total accrual of cargo turnover will equal 50 million tons, said Vladimir Miklushevsky.

General director of “Terminal Astafiev” Ruslan Kondratov told Korean businessmen about the modernization project that will enable to increase the cargo turnover up to 6 million tons by 2015 and up to 8 million tons in perspective.

After the official part delegation of Primorsky region saw over the National Assembly building and participated in the reception with leading businessmen of the Republic of Korea. Entrepreneurs – owners of the largest power generation companies were also interested in “Terminal Astafiev” modernization project as a prospective partner for transshipment of coal to the countries of Asian-Pacific region.
