The latest equipment and the most up-to-date technologies of extra-viscous oil production applied by the Company were demonstrated to the Minister, as well as the main oil field facilities were shown to him. The foreign guests got acquainted with the principles of horizontal well pairs operation, which produce extra-viscous oil with application of the steam assisted gravity drainage method. The delegation also visited the well with a unique slanted workover rig. The high-tech approach to the construction, production and the wells workover, as well as the automated control system of the oil production process aroused considerable interest of the guests. On behalf of the State of Brunei Leadership the Energy Minister expressed gratitude to OAO TATNEFT Company for the presentation of technologies and equipment of EVO production and invited to further cooperation in the crude oil production field.
