The contract to supply equipment for the 360-MW combined cycle unit of the Adler TPP was signed between Power Machines and OAO TEK Mosenergo in August 2009. Under the contract Power Machines had to supply two steam turbines for the power plant with 60-MW capacity each, and two turbo-generators manufactured by production facilities of the group.
In addition, the scope of supply of the power-generating equipment manufacturer included the equipment, comprising four gas turbines complete with generators with 65-MW capacity each produced by Ansaldo Energia, an Italian company. The terms of the contract also specified that employees of Power Machines were to perform supervised installation of the equipment manufactured by the company and provide technical supervision for the installation of equipment manufactured by Ansaldo Energia.
The T-48/62 steam turbine for the Adler TPP is based on the design of 64-MW turbine for the TPP-14 in St. Petersburg (two machines of this type were manufactured and supplied by KTW in 2009). The difference is that the Adler turbine has been redesigned to conform to the seismically hazardous area of the power plant’s location.
Turbogenerators, gas turbines and the first steam turbine have already been delivered to the site of Adler TPP.
