The second hydroturbine with turbine manufactured by OJSC "Turboatom" was launched at Dnestrovskaya PSPP
 Experimental startup of the second hydraulic machine manufactured by OJSC "Turboatom" was performed at Dnestrovskaya PSPP.
The startup was carried out by the "back to back" method from the first unit in the mode of SKN (synchronous compensator with a pump direction of rotation). Technical characteristics of operation of the hydraulic machine in this mode completely correspond to the customer's technical task.
Since January 2014 the final stages of pre-commissioning works at idle and under load are about to realize. Thus, power, vibration characteristics of the turbine, the efficiency and pressure under the cover of the hydraulic machine both in turbine and pump mode will be checked.
Putting the hydraulic unit into commercial operation is planned for the first quarter of 2014. The specialists of OJSC "Turboatom" perform pre-commissioning works and put the equipment into operation.
According to the contract signed in April 2012, "Turboatom" has manufactured and supplied a complete set of equipment for a reversible radial-axial hydraulic machine OPO170-B-730 with the maximum capacity of 390 MW in a turbine mode, in a pump mode - 420 MW for Dnestrovskaya PSPP.
