Turboatom has put into operation a thermal electric furnace

This new-generation furnace is completely automated; it is intended for heat treatment of small-size forgings with the total weight of up to 1,000 kg.

Resulting from the installation of the new equipment, the quality of heat treatment of forgings and environmental indicators are expected to considerably improve, production culture is likely to increase while electricity consumption and production cycles are expected to decrease.

Today, the furnace is processing forgings for Ekibastuzskaya GRES-1, Zuyevskaya thermal power plant, details for hydroturbine manufacturing and work materials for tool workshop.

Under the contract, Rico company has supplied equipment, provided installation supervision, precommissioning and personnel training in terms of the electric furnace operation.
