Turboatom completed the manufacture of the second hydro unit for Kamskaya HPP

In the presence of the customer’s representatives specialists of "Turboatom" verifies the workability of runner on the identity of the turn blades, possible oil leakage and the level of commuting efforts. Under results of work was signed the record of acceptance, that all controlled parameters corresponds to the norms. Till the end of May the equipment will be shipped to the plant. Previously, the plant had produced and shipped guide vanes, turbine cover with a control ring and the mechanisms of the turbine.

Today, on HPP in support of specialists "Turboatom" is an installation of the hydro unit. Embedded parts have been already installed, mounted guide vanes. Start turbines is scheduled for 2013.

According to the contract signed in December 2010, on Kamskaya HPP "Turboatom" will produce a profound reconstruction of four hydro units No 15, 16, 17, 18 type «Kaplan» with nominal capacity of 21 MW and a runner diameter of 5 m.

As a result of the modernization of the design power of each unit will increase from 21 MW to 25 MW, the maximum power of 28 MW, will also increase reliability and environmental safety units. The service life of turbine will increase by 40 years.

Since 1996 on Kamskaya HPP OJSC "Turboatom" have been updated fifteen turbines.

Kamskaya HPP is located in the city of Perm and is historically the first stage of the Kamskiy cascade. On the plant have been installed 23 hydro units with total capacity of 522 MW.
