Czech partners inspected MSZ
 The Mashinostroitelny Zavod (MSZ, part of the Fuel Company of ROSATOM TVEL) hosted a working visit of representatives of ČEZ and Dukovany NPP.
The visit goal was to supervise manufacture of items and hold a technical meeting with the company’s management.
The foreign colleagues were interested in various engineering aspects of the production process, as well as issues associated with the audit of MSZ’s quality assurance system held by ČEZ in May 2013. In frames of the visit the guests toured to the company’s main process shops and attended a number of meetings with MSZ management.
The Czech specialists were satisfied with the meeting outcomes. They pointed out that MSZ has been a reliable partner, who is ready for a constructive dialogue and still pays great attention to improvement of the process efficiency and product quality. A Dukovany NPP representative Michal Borovička noted that the monitoring of fabrication of fuel for Czech NPPs was a traditional event, which was very important for both sides. “I visit the Mashinostroitelny Zavod rather often and each time we have an opportunity to get assurance in the product quality, reliability of the technology and high level of production control. Your fuel is a world-class product, which operates at zero-failure. Today, the company meets all contractual obligations before us precisely and on time,” he said.
To remind, the Mashinostroitelny Zavod manufactures fuel for all VVER-440 reactors of Dukovany NPP and two VVER-1000 reactors of Temelin NPP (Czech Republic). The supplies started in December 2009 under a contract between ČEZ Group and JSC TVEL signed in 2006.
