Enel OGK-5 launches “One Safety” project at power plants in the Sverdlovsk Region
 “One Safety” – a global project of the Enel Group – is set to be launched at Enel OGK-5’s power plants in the Sverdlovsk Region. The project will be launched at Sredneuralskaya GRES on October 8th and at Reftinskaya GRES on October 15th.
“One Safety” is another step towards the objective of “zero accidents”, which the Group has set as its main target in the field of H&S.
The goal of the project is to educate and inform employees on types of behavior which can contribute to a greater incidence of on the job accidents in an effort to reduce potential work related health and safety hazards.
The first phase of the project involves the identification of “key people” who will be responsible for analyzing data, as well as the training of observers who will be selected from the power plant’s most experienced staff members. The observers will have the responsibility of gathering and recording information on all behavior which poses a threat to the health and safety of plant employees.
The volume of data will be thoroughly analyzed at regular intervals, including feedback sessions to identify the causes of potentially dangerous behavior. Based on this input, measures to improve H&S standards will be implemented at the plants followed by a fresh round of observation.
The project has already been implemented at Enel OGK-5’s Konakovskaya GRES and Nevinnomysskaya GRES. With the launch at Sredneuralskaya GRES and Reftinskaya GRES, the Company will complete the introduction of “One Safety” in all of its power plants in Russia.
