Unrivalled simulator was commissioned at Surgutskaya GRES-2
 At Surgutskaya GRES-2 a unique computer simulator was put into operation. This simulator has no parallels in power industry of the Russian Federation.
The simulator is intended for training of plant operative personnel, both for standard operation situations of launching, operation, and shut-down of power units, and for situations such as elimination of various process violations related to equipment.
Simulator software and parameters output interface on operator’s display are identical to those operating on 800 MW power units in action at Surgutskaya GRES-2, thus, training with the help of this simulator allows to imitate the real-time power unit control.
Additionally, the simulator provides for unique feature of modeling, checking, and adjustment of new algorithms used in automated control systems before their loading into software of running power units, in order to prevent any potential errors in the process control system.
The simulator is created on the basis of software and hardware complex controlling the power unit operation.
