Turboatom is modernizing the equipment of Balakovskaya NPP
 In March 2012, "Turboatom" (Ukraine) won the competition for the manufacture and supply of the pipe system of the condenser KP-1650 turbine OK -12A for Balakovskaya NPP (Russia).
The tender was attended by five companies, including OJSC "Power Machines" and LLC "YugPromService" (Russia). Condenser for Balakovskaya plant was manufactured by Kaluzhskiy Turbine Plant (Russia).
For enterprises this products is serial. Today in the production two condensers for Novovoronezhskaya NPP. The peculiarity of this equipment is that the pipe system made of stainless steel.
The contract will be concluded soon. The customer of equipment is OJSC “Concern Rosenergoatom".
Reference: Balakovskaya NPP - Russia's largest manufacturer of electricity. Each year it manufactures more than 30 billion kWh. hour of electricity. NPP provides a quarter of electricity production in Privolzgskiy Federal District and the fifth generation of Russian nuclear power plants. In all four power units of Balakovskaya NPP installed turbines of production OJSC "Turboatom" with capacity 1000 MW each, the delivery of the first turbine implemented in 1985, the fourth - in 1993.
