New power unit equipped by Power Machines for Novgorodskaya TPP is ready for operation
 Rostechnadzor has issued TGC-2 JSC a certificate on Conformity of a 210 MW ССPP power facility at Novgorodskaya TPP, primarily fitted out with power generating equipment manufactured by Power Machines OJSC, to the requirements of technical regulations.
In 2008 Power Machines and TGC-2 JSC signed a corresponding contract for the design, production and supply of a GTE-160 gas turbine and a 160 MW turbogenerator for the combined cycle power plant under construction.
Moreover, Power Machines provided supervision services during installation of the equipment supplied and carried out technical guidance during commissioning works. The total contract amount exceeded 1 billion rubles. At present Power Machines’ obligations, that expire in 2014, still include warranty services on the equipment operation.
Putting this new 210 MW combined cycle power plant into operation is to double the TPP’s installed capacity, that is going to meet 100% of the city’s need for electricity and 70% of that of the Novgorod region. CCPP-210 start-up will stimulate the development of regional economy and provide conditions for investments inflow.
