Izhorskiye Zavody produces unbolt device for the main reactor joint for Novovoronezh NPP-2
 Izhorskiye Zavody, part of OMZ Group, has successfully completed tests of the unbolt device for the main reactor joint for Novovoronezh NPP-2.
Electro-hydraulic unbolt device is a joint development of Izhorskiye Zavody and the German Siempelkamp Tensioning Systems (STS) and is designed for hydraulic tightening or weakening of both studs on the flange of the reactor vessel during refueling, preventive inspections and preventive maintenance.
Using unbolt devices of this type provides sealing of flange connections for all operating conditions and reduce the time compression and reactor joint decompression. This significantly reduces the duration of outages, and achieved significant savings through a more rapid achievement of operational power of the nuclear unit.
During the acceptance tests worked the commission composed of representatives of Izhorskiye Zavody, OJSC “Integrated Procurement Management”, OJSC “Rosenergoatom” and STS. Act of acceptance of the equipment was signed. The device will be held in safekeeping prior to shipment to the station.
