INTER RAO UES launches electricity exports to Ukraine
 INTER RAO UES has signed a contract with Vostokenergo to deliver Russian electric power to Ukraine starting February 1, 2012. Essential conditions of the contract were fixed for one month.
INTER RAO UES received orders to supply 400 MW to 500 MW of electric power to Ukraine between February 1 and February 5, 2012.
The Ukrainian partner has approached INTER RAO UES with this deal due to abnormally cold weather affecting the larger part of the country and causing shortage of electricity.
The partners are currently evaluating options to supply electricity from Moldova TPS to Southern and South-Western Ukraine.
