"Arkhenergo" increases the capacity of substation "Lomonosovskaya"
 Branch of IDGC North-West "Arkhenergo" invested 5 million rubles to repair the transformer in Arkhangelsk. The repaired equipment with capacity of 16 MVA will be installed at the substation "Lomonosovskaya" instead of the existing 6.3 MVA transformer. Increasing the capacity of the substation will allow providing the growing demand for electricity.
Representatives of "Arkhenergo" tested and the acceptance of a power transformer in a specialized factory in St. Petersburg, where the electrical equipment was renovated. The test results showed that all parameters of the equipment meet the standards. "Arkhenergo" completes tender for selection of the contractor for transformer’s transportation and installation. Within two months the equipment will be installed in the regional center at the substation "Lomonosovskaya".
Currently, the substation has two transformers with capacity of 16 and 6.3 MVA. However, this capacity is not enough for today's needs for electricity. Installation of the repaired transformer will increase the capacity of power supply center for 9 MBA.
