The project of LLC “SGM” has been acknowledged the best implementation of available technologies for decrease of the negative impact on the environment.
LLC “SGM” Director General Ruslan Goryukhin has been awarded the badge of honour “The environmentalist of the year”.
The department of industrial and environmental safety of LLC “SGM” and its head Alexey Sarnavskiy have become the winners of the award “The best environmental service” and “The best manager of the environmental service” correspondingly.
The results of the contest were summarized on the 5th All Russia conference “Ecology and Production. Prospects for the development of economic mechanisms of environmental protection” which took place on April 1-4 in St.Petersburg and was arranged by the International Academy of Quality and Marketing (St.Petersburg) together with the international association of parliamentarians for balanced environment – “GLOBE International”. More than 90 of various enterprises and companies took part in the contest.
Names of laureates were nominated by the expert council which consisted of representatives of special purpose committee of the State Duma, Federation Council, Chamber of commerce and industry, environmental and expert companies in the field of environment, environmental protection and industrial safety.
The expert community unanimously acknowledged that the construction method selected by LLC “SGM” specialists had the least negative impact to the environment of the coast and water area of the Black Sea. 159,5 km out of 177 km of the gas pipeline were laid on the seabed, and five shore crossings along which gas pipelines come out to the shore, are performed by HDD method. Refusal from the traditional method of construction on the shore, providing development of the open trench in favor of HDD made it possible to preserve natural landscape of the territory, significantly reduce the scope of earth works and put to a minimum the damage for plant and animal life. The main merit of the technology, used by the specialists of LLC “SGM” – is preservation of more than 500 ga of unique Caucasian forestland “The national park of Sochi”.
