"Turboatom" confirmed the increase in capacity of turbine at HPP Naglu (Afghanistan)
 During the starting up tests at HPP Naglu OJSC "Turboatom" confirmed the increase of the installed capacity of the first hydro unit from 23,5 to 25 MW.
The increase of turbine capacity was made possible by the updating of equipment. According to the contract "Turboatom" updated four Francis turbines with unit capacity 23,5 MW and four butterfly valves with diameter 3,2 m. In addition to increasing capacity, after the reconstruction of up to 5 % increase in COE. On the hydro valves consolidation system has been improved, the bearing mounts assemblies and automation systems.
Currently, equipment supply and erection of the first unit completed. Specialists of OJSC "Turboatom" also conducted starting up and adjustment and guarantee tests. Within 15 days of operation of the turbine will be put into industrial operation, which will be signed by the relevant act.
Erection and commissioning of the remaining three turbines will be held in turn.
HPP Naglu commissioned in 1965. Delivery of the equipment was carried out jointly with the company Technopromexport (Russia). The contract for updating of HPP OJSC "Turboatom" and "Technopromexport" signed in December 2006.
