Beloyarsk NPP: the plan for power generation in July has been fulfilled by 106.4%
 In July, 2010 Beloyarsk NPP power unit operated at the nominal power level and generated 450.2 mln kWh of electric power for the month. Thus, the target figure for generation in July was fulfilled by 106.4%. The plant ratio for the month was 100.86%.
Upon the whole, for the seven months of 2010 the BN-600 power unit of Beloyarsk NPP has generated 1,947.3 mln kWh of electric power that is equal to 109.7% of the target figure.
The radiation situation in the area of Balakovo NPP location and the adjacent territories did not change in July, corresponded to the normal operation conditions and was at the level of the natural background values.
Beloyarsk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC operating all nuclear power plants of Russia. This is the first NPP in the nuclear power industry of the country and the only one with reactors of different types on the same site. At Beloyarsk NPP the unique power unit with a fast neutron reactor of industrial power level is being operated - BN-600. The BN-800 power unit with a fast neutron reactor is being constructed. The fast neutron power units serve for substantial extension of the fuel base of the nuclear power industry and minimization of radioactive waste due to the closed nuclear fuel cycle. The first power units of Beloyarsk NPP with the AMB-100 and AMB-200 fast neutron reactors have outlived their usefulness.
