Izhorskiye Zavody to Produce Equipment for the Third Power Unit of Kudankulam NPP
 Izhorskiye Zavody, part of OMZ Group, has signed a contract for production of equipment for the third power unit of Indian Kudankulam NPP, currently under construction.
Under this contract Izhorskiye Zavody will produce VVER-1000 reactor vessel together with internal components and an upper unit lid, a pressurizer and main circulation piping.
Izhorskiye Zavody has a history of cooperation with its Indian partners. In a period between 2002 and 2008 Izhorskiye Zavody produced reactor equipment for the first and second power units of Kudankulam NPP. Izhorskiye Zavody supplied primary coolant system equipment for the first and second power units, including nuclear reactor vessels together with internal components and transport sluices for refueling and regular maintenance operations.

The first power unit at the NPP has been launched and is operating successfully. Today it remains the most powerful energy unit operating in India and fully complies with the modern safety standards. This is not only a mark of quality for equipment produced by Izhorskiye Zavody, but also a foundation for our partnership”.
