Belorusneft has built a core processing, research and storage center
 It was built in Gomel, near the laboratories of BelNIPIneft R&D institute. The processing and research of about 650 m core per year will be done here, with the total amount of core material stored reaching 50 thousand meters.
According the experts, the Center will become the original library for the scientists-geologists of Belorusneft and the platform for the participation in foreign tenders. In the future it is planned to collect and systematize all core material from oil deposits of the country in this Center.
Until recently the collected core (about 27 km of rocks) was stored in the Well cementing Department in Rechitsa, in the Central core storage facility. It was opened in 1996 and no longer corresponds with the modern requirements.
