The parties looked at the issues of the bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. Special consideration was given to Russian pipeline gas supplies to Serbia as well as to the joint projects in the gas sector.

In 2014 Gazprom supplied Serbia with nearly 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

In 2013 a long-term contract was signed for Russian gas supply to Serbia in the amount of up to 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually for a period of 10 years.

Successful cooperation of the two countries within the underground gas storage in Serbia’s Banatski Dvor UGS facility (Gazprom – 51 per cent, Srbijagas – 49 per cent) is essential for securing the stability of supplies to European countries. The facility is one of the largest gas storages in Southeastern Europe. Its working gas capacity makes up 450 million cubic meters and maximum deliverability – 5 million cubic meters per day.
