Naftogaz retained these services in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Public Procurement". The firm was chosen due to its extensive experience representing buyers’ interests in energy and natural gas. The expected cost of the services is €2.74 million. Advokatfirma DA (https://www.wr.no/en/) has represented the interests of energy and natural gas customers in more than 20 arbitrations and approximately 40 formal negotiations on price revisions since 2001. The firm also has successful experience in conducting proceedings against Gazprom. In particular, Wikborg Rein acted in arbitration proceedings for RWE CZ against Gazprom Export. These proceedings ended in 2013, resulting in a judgment in favor of RWE. The company also has significant experience in out-of-court settlement of gas pricing disputes.

Wikborg Rein clients have included the three largest importers of gas in Germany and the largest importers of gas in Italy, France, Belgium, Austria and the Czech Republic, as well as Dutch and Swedish gas importers.
