The basic saving of means for power resources was achieved by realization of technical and organizational actions of the INPP Programme of Power Resources Saving, as well as due to the favorable weather conditions and change of prices. It made it possible to reduce the consumption of electric power by 4 percent, consumption of heat - by 14 percent, consumption of gas - by 3.5 percent, consumption of water - by 30 percent in comparison with 2013.

“The implementation of the stipulated actions reduces the expenses for power resources in spite of the fact that the increase in consumption of power resources at the new facilities and projects increases the planned expenses. Going forward, for the purpose of greater efficiency of the realized activity, we plan to aspire to economy of expenses, reduce expenses for power resources as much as possible and search for the new ways of expenses reduction,” said INPP Director General Darius Janulevičius.

In 2014 it was planned to spend 6.9 million euro for electric power, in reality 6.3 million euro were spent; it was planned to spend 9.2 million euro for heat, in reality 5.8 million euro were spent; it was planned to spend 1.6 million euro for gas, in reality – 1.1 million euro were spent.

For the period of INPP decommissioning since 2010 the power resources expenses have been reduced by 37 percent. In 2010 the power resources expenses accounted for 21.3 million euro, in 2011 and 2012 – 18.2 million euro each, in 2013 – 17.0 million euro, and in 2014 the power resources expenses accounted for 13.4 million euro.

The power resources expenses are basically financed from the funds of the Ignalina Programme of the European Union (96 percent), and from SE INPP decommissioning fund. It should be noted, that EU allocates less and less financing for consumption of power resources at INPP. The enterprise constantly aspires to saving of expenses for power resources, using allocated financing rationally and expediently.
