OMZ-Special Steels produces back-up rolls for India
 OMZ-Special Steels, part of OMZ Group, produced the first back-up roll blank under a contract with Bhilai Steel Plant.
The contract with Bhilai Steel Plant for delivery of four plate mill backup rolls was signed in November 2014. Obligations under this agreement must be fulfilled by the end of 2016. The contract is worth $2.132 million.
The first blank was forged at OMZ-Special Steels in the beginning of February. The blank weighs 290 tons, while the weight of the finished product will amount to 123 tons.
Completion of this order has strategic importance for OMZ-Special Steels: extending the delivery area and entering new markets as well as restoring the position on export markets is a priority for the company’s development.
