Today, the machine is installed and it is being set up, precommissioning and commissioning are scheduled for January 2015. The modernization is carried out by experts of Skoda company (Czech Republic) jointly with repair services of "Turboatom".

During the overhaul Skoda W200 was equipped with new NC system, the machine is also equipped with a universal five-axis head, this will allow to process large size parts of complex profile on five axes.

After the reconstruction the quality and precision of machining parts are expected to improve, production cycles are expected to decrease.

According to Chief Engineer Gregoriy Ishchenko, at the same time with the participation of representatives of Waldrich Coburg company (Germany) repair works are being performed on machine 6640Ф2 in the workshop of machining and welding No. 72 and on machine НС-33Ф2 in the steam turbine workshop No.53. "These units are about to launch in March or April of the next year. In the near future, it will enable to evenly distribute the load on all the production facilities of the plant and return from the cooperative works on machining large size parts of complex profile. In addition, the third stage of modernization of foundry production is in full swing within the framework of which the installation of gas cleaning system and the first steel furnace in the foundry (No. 50) is carried out. This scope of works is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2015", – he said.
