The new status of JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii
 In November 2014, VNIPIpromtechnologii Engineering Center (part of the control loop of JSC Atomredmetzoloto) was assigned as the lead organization of the industry in the field of engineering surveys conducted during construction of uranium mining and processing facilities.
The decision was made at the meeting of the Union of Nuclear Industry Design Engineers, chaired by First Deputy Director General for Operations Management of Rosatom State Corporation A. M. Lokshin.
“The new status will enable the engineering center to carry out both methodological and direct supervision over implementation of engineering surveys conducted by third-party contractors that do not belong to the uranium holding,” explained Kirill Boykov, acting chief engineer of JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii. “Its main task is to improve the organizational system of survey activities and the quality of surveys.”
