The transformers will be operated at the new production facility of Power Machines OJSC in the Metallostroy Industrial Area. The equipment successfully passed type and acceptance tests.

In the short term, specialists from the Joint Venture will commence supervised installation, start-up and commissioning works on the customer’s site.

According to Andrey Pishchikov, Director General of Power Machines – Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers LLC, "within the framework of this order, the plant’s specialists were able to work out the entire transformer manufacturing cycle, from design through production stages, including all types of tests, as well as to check out operation of the technological equipment. Today, the company is fully ready to serially manufacture transformers.

Execution of the first order from the Federal Grid Company, including two transformers for the 220 kV substation Gubernskaya, Tyumen, is underway.  The equipment for Blagoveshchenskaya TPP and a number of other projects is at the design stage.

Power Machines – Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers LLC is a Joint Venture (JV) between Power Machines OJSC and Toshiba Corporation, founded in 2011. Share of Power Machines OJSC in the Joint Venture equals 50.01% and that of Toshiba – 49.99%.
The plant was commissioned in late 2013.
Total amount of investment in the construction exceeded 5.5 billion roubles.
Design capacity of the plant is over 10,000 MVA annually.  
The main products include power transformers and auto-type transformers with voltage class of 110–750 kV and capacity of over 25 MVA, in particular those of the three-phase design, as well as shunt reactors with voltage class of 500–750 kV.  
The Joint Venture establishment project falls within the business strategy pursued by Power Machines OJSC and aimed at broadening a line-up of products manufactured and creating energy-efficient and science-intensive solutions for the industry.
