Under the contract, the plant has manufactured twelve mixing units (US-50х20DS), twelve skid-mounted pump units (UNB-125х32YaS), and also three pump units mounted on wheeled chassis (UNB-125х32U). This is twice the volume of a related Surgutneftegaz order for skid-mounted pump units and 1.5 times the volume of deliveries of wheel-based pump units in 2012.
The units supplied to the oil company are the products traditionally ordered by Surgutneftegaz from the Izhevsk-based plant of Rimera Group. The US-50х20DS mixing unit is designed for preparing cement slurry and other sand and liquid mixes used in the cementing of oil and gas wells at the field, and the UNB-125x32 cement unit is available in two configurations: based on the Ural chassis or skid-mounted. Both models are designed for injecting various non-corrosive liquids during well cementing, hydro-fracturing, pressure testing, hydraulic jet perforation, sand washing, and other downhole operations in oil and gas wells.
Izhneftemash Executive Director Sergei Shunin is quoted as saying: "Mixing units made by our plant represent sophisticated equipment in terms of requirements for the end product. The fact that our contract with Surgutneftegaz is almost twice the volume of a similar contract completed last year is evidence of the customer's trust in our products and an indication of our mutual intention to develop this partnership further".
Incidentally, a different plant of Rimera Group, Alnas, is also supplying oil production equipment to Surgutneftegaz.
