The Open Meeting of Energy Commission of the Seimas Was Held at Ignalina NPP
 The open meeting of Energy Commission of the Seimas was held at SE Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP). The members of Energy Commission, the representatives of Ministry of Energy, State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate and Ignalina NPP participated in the meeting.
The process of implementation of INPP decommissioning projects was presented and INPP decommissioning financing in the EU 2014-2020 financial perspective was discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was focused on INPP decommissioning projects implementation and radioactive waste management, INPP decommissioning funding issues were discussed. INPP representatives introduced technological process of spent nuclear fuel extraction from INPP units. The current status and implementation process, current problems and other issues of projects B1 (Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility) and B234 (Solid Waste Management and Storage Facilities) were discussed during the meeting.
The participants of the meeting visited the construction site of the projects B1 (Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility) and B34 (Solid Waste Storage Facilities) where they were informed on the progress of the projects and their implementation problems.
