The Contract for the Equipment Supply was concluded between PJSC EMAlliance and PJSC Production Firm VIS in May 2012. According to the terms and conditions of the Contract EMAlliance have undertaken to design, manufacture and supply High Pressure Heaters complete with Safety and Control Valves and Fast Acting Protection Systems (FAPS), as well as Low Pressure Heaters complete with Control Valves. The design works are performed by the specialists of the Engineering Division of PJSC EMAlliance (Taganrog), and the equipment is manufactured at the Company’s main manufacturing facilities – The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik.
The technological innovation in designing the HPH lies in the optimization of the steam cooling area, which contributes to the increase in the reliability and thermal efficiency of the Heater operation. Other Customer’s requirements have also been taken into account: completing HPHs and LPHs with motorized Control Valves and supply of the Heaters as modules weighing up to 100 tons.
In connection with introduction of the closed feed system in Unit No.9 at Novocherkasskaya GRES, the new equipment hook up required a complex of thermohydraulic designs which allowed proving the compliance of the Heaters with the conditions of the modernized Turbine Plant.
Completion of shipment of the High and Low Pressure Heaters for Novocherkasskaya GRES is scheduled for the second quarter of 2013. The equipment manufactured by Krasny Kotelshchik will be installed in the closed type system of the Turbine Plant at Novocherkasskaya GRES, which will allow increasing its efficiency.
