Mr. Seele was accompanied by Eggert Voscherau, Chairman of the BASF SE Supervisory Board, Margret Suckale, Member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE, Henning Voscherau, Chairman of the Board of Directors of South Stream AG and Ulrich Brandenburg, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as other representatives of BASF SE and Wintershall Holding GmbH.
The delegation visited the Urengoy oil and gas condensate field and paid special attention to the implementation of the Achimgaz project, where ERIELL Group is the general contractor, set to drill 41 wells.
The delegation members noted the high quality of the ongoing drilling operations and their compliance with all international safety regulations.
“We are satisfied with the quality of the work conducted as well as with the living conditions of the drillers working at the gas field”, - said Rainer Seele, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Wintershall Holding GmbH, as he summed up the visit.
The Achimgaz Project is one of the largest joint international projects in the Russian Federation, scheduled for more than 40 years. According to ZAO Achimgaz, the field well stock will total 113 wells. ZAO Achimgaz is a joint venture between Germany’s Wintershall Holding GmbH and Gazprom.
