TENEX and Korean power company KHNP have agreed on a possibility of using the Russian Far East route for EUP supplies

It took place during a meeting held within the framework of Nuclear Industry Summit currently taking place in the Republic of Korea devoted to improving of the nuclear power safety.

The Parties consider the new agreement as an important contribution to improving safety of the global nuclear industry, particularly given the fact that changing the supplies route will reduce the EUP en-route stay (from two to three times compared to the currently used route) and consequently minimize the related transportation risks.

Established in 2001, the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. (KHNP) is a South Korean nuclear power plants monopolist operator holding the fifth place among the global suppliers of nuclear generated electricity.
