TATNEFT: The Experiment Has Proved to Be Successful

The technology of arranging water separation directly at the well cluster pad with subsequent water utilization into the injection well of the reservoir pressure maintenance system has been developed by the scientists of TatNIPIneft in conjunction with the Company's engineering services and professionals of "Yamashneft" Oil and Gas Production Board.

The operating principle of the new installation implies that the coming well production is separated in the wellbore under the influence of gravitational forces into crude oil and water which are lifted by a special pumping unit of the installation through separate channels to the surface: the water is brought up through a hollow rods string, while the oil is raised through a production (tubing) string.
