Gazprom approves 2011–2015 Comprehensive Program for Reconstruction and Re-equipment of Gas Production Facilities

The Comprehensive Program execution is primarily aimed at assuring reliable, secure and cost-effective operation of Gazprom's gas production facilities in order to achieve the projected gas output.
Gas production facilities reconstruction and re-equipment is carried out on a regular basis. The first five-year program was endorsed by the Company's Management Committee in 2006.
In particular, the newly endorsed Comprehensive Program envisages reconstruction and upgrade of the equipment at booster compressor stations and comprehensive gas treatment units, wells and gas gathering networks, engineering support and power supply systems between 2011 and 2015.
The Comprehensive Program execution is also targeted at enhancing the energy efficiency of Gazprom's upstream sector, cutting down gas and power consumption for process needs at engineering and production facilities.
The measures stipulated for in the Comprehensive Program are synchronized with the existing and prospective programs for comprehensive reconstruction of gas transmission and processing facilities as well as automated process control, metrology, communications and safety systems.
