Turboatom has completed manufacturing the equipment for Kurakhovskaya TPP (Ukraine)

The specialists of the enterprise executed the check assembly of the intermediate-pressure cylinder (IPC) with a rotor. The equipment was handed over to the customer, packed and shipped to the station; the order is closed in the production.

Under the contract signed in August 2012, "Turboatom" is performing the reconstruction of the K-200-130-3 steam turbine with the capacity of 200 MW manufactured by Leningrad Metal Plant (Russia) with a full replacement of high, intermediate and low-pressure cylinders at the unit No. 9 of Kurakhovskaya thermal power plant. Resulting from the modernization, the turbine capacity is expected to increase by 10 MW; specific cost of standard fuel is likely to decrease by 40 g/kWh.

It is the fourth power unit of Kurakhovskaya thermal power plant modernized by "Turboatom", the start-up of the power unit No. 6 took place in March 2013, unit No. 8 – in 2012, unit No. 7 – in 2011.
