Environmental tests of hydraulic turbines were successfully carried out at La Yesca HPP

For the first time the tests of hydraulic turbines manufactured by OJSC "Turboatom" were carried out by absolute thermodynamic method. Under the results of the preliminary report, "Turboatom" confirmed guarantees on capacity and efficiency of the turbine. At maximum head the capacity of the turbine reached 434.6 MW, as provided by the contract - 426.13 MW, weighted average efficiency - 95.61%, under guaranteed - 94.92%.

The turbines are put into commercial operation. The warranty period of the operation will be two years.

Under the contract signed in 2008 for La Yesca HPP OJSC "Turboatom" has manufactured and supplied two Francis turbines with the unit capacity of 380 MW and with the diameter of the runner - 5.3 m with built-in ring valves.

The enterprise completed the manufacture and supply of the equipment in 2010. In October and November 2012, two hydrounits were put into operation step by step. The total nominal capacity of the power plant was 750 MW.
