Perspectives of B1 Project Have Been Discussed in Brussels

Representatives of the European bank of reconstruction and development and the contractor of the B1 project (Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility) also participated in the meeting. Current viewpoints concerning possible further decisions and project implementation perspectives were discussed during the meeting.

In the meeting participating sides noted that there is a clear progress in resolving disagreements with the contractor regarding B1 project implementation. It is expected that the contractor will provide all necessary documentation in the near future and the documents will be submitted to the State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate (VATESI).

The decision on resumption of temporarily suspended funding of the B1 project has not been adopted yet.
