Bashneft arranges accident insurance for its employees

The enterprises of Bashneft Group conclude accident insurance contracts for their employees with SOGAZ Insurance Group, one of the largest universal insurers in Russia. The contracts will be valid from February 1, 2013 through the end of January 2014.

Providing employees with corporate accident insurance meets best practice standards in the industry,’ Alexey Kurach, Bashneft’s Vice President for Economics and Finance, pointed out. ‘This demonstrates the Company’s commitment to the principles of social responsibility and proves that Bashneft attaches special importance to health and safety issues.’

Bashneft plans to provide insurance under the contracts to more than 20 thousand employees at its branches (Bashneft-Novoil, Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim, Bashneft-Ufimsky refinery plant, Bashneft-Bashkirnefteprodukt, Bashneft-Orenburgnefteprodukt) and the Company’s subsidiaries (OJSC Ufaorgsintez, LLC Bashneft-Dobycha, LLC Bashneft-Bureniye, LLC Bashneft-Polyus, LLC Bashneft- Udmurtia, LLC SKON Group of Companies, and LLC Bashneft-Region).

Bashneft is also considering the possibility of arranging accident insurance for the employees of other subsidiaries.
