SPD Set a New Coring Record

During coring operations that took place on January 8-10 in US-8342-15 well of Upper Salym field SPD and SibBurMash cored 72.62 m in one coring run and at 100% recovery.

The previous record was set up in November 2011 with 60.76m cored in one coring run and at 100% recovery.

SibBurMash is a coring service provider in Russia and has been working with SPD almost from the start of the Salym project realization to continue to improve their performance with SPD. Since 2004 SPD and Sibburmash started with 67 m of core in 6 runs, and they continuously improved the coring efficiency (2792.2m of core cut in 37 wells) with a total recovery of 99% and without a safety incident.
