Balakovo NPP: power unit No.1 has been put out of operation for routine repair

Unloading and shutdown of the power unit were performed without any deviations and in accordance with the regulations for safe operation. The radiation background remained unchanged and there were no violations of limits and conditions of safe operation.
Power units Nos. 2, 3, 4 are operating in the normal mode. The radiation background in Balakovo and in the area of Balakovo NPP location is 0.08 – 0.15 μSv/h, which corresponds to the natural environmental background values typical for European Russia.
