GDF SUEZ sells its remaining stake in Elia for €153 million

 Electrabel, Group GDF SUEZ, closed the procedure of accelerated bookbuilding that was launched this morning for the sale of the shares held within Elia (Belgium’s transmission system operator).
As a result of the succes of the bookbuilding operation, more important than expected, GDF SUEZ completely steps out of the capital of Elia by selling 11,7% of the company.
The sale of its remaining stake was realised for a total amount of € 153 million at the price of € 27 per share. This transaction represents a capital gain of € 120 million for GDF SUEZ.
The Group had announced its intention to completely step out of the capital of Elia. On 10, May 2010 Electrabel sold to Publi-T 12,5% of the stake the Group held in Elia.
