LLC «EDC-NG» is completing working on the Razdan HPP power unit 5 modernization

The LLC «EDC-NG» specialists have corrected major drawings and submitted the power unit main building new design documentation to the customer. Water heating boilers’ design is finished, they are put in operation as of today. The customer has received major and auxiliary equipment installation drawings, architectural, construction and process solutions for the main building and accessory premises. Principal electric diagram is prepared. Total volume of the works done on construction and mechanical project parts is more than 90%.
At present preparation of the drawings of major and auxiliary equipment electric part, relay protection and emergency control devices and DCS is finished.
Improvement of the Razdan HPP power unit 5 involves modernization of the steam power module into a CCGT power unit with burnt gases exhaust from the Alstom 160 MW gas turbine to the block steam boiler, installation of an up-to-date gas turbine and other power equipment having high technical-and-economic indices. As a result, the power unit capacity will reach 431 MW.
LLC “Engineering & Design center of New Generation” and CJSC “ArmRosgazprom” signed in October, 2008 a contract on the power unit design under reconstruction program. The official representative office of the company was established in the city of Erevan.
