BelNIPIneft Institute experts completed the processing of seismic data from the Digboi field in India

As per the agreement, the employees of the scientific and engineering center provide comprehensive rehabilitation services for Digboi field, located in the north of the state of Assam.

It was here in 1889 that the first oil well in Asia was drilled. For a long time this deposit was considered the largest in India. Now it is not being developed. The comprehensive rehabilitation project of Digboi is implemented in 12 stages. The first steps are the processing and interpretation of seismic data, the compilation of geological and hydrodynamic models. Also, employees of BelNIPIneft are concurrently developing the formulas and compositions of reagents to intensify production, to limit water inflow at this field. Then it is planned to prepare recommendations and a program of measures for intensification of production, with engineering support of fieldwork.
