Inter RAO Group Acquires 100% Ownership Stake in Power Supply Company of Bashkortostan

Inter RAO Group paid 2.5 billion rubles in this transaction, inclusive of seller's debt to the energy retailer paid at the time of the acquisition.

“The acquisition of Power Supply Company of Bashkortostan will give Inter RAO Group an opportunity to leverage synergies from the management of heat production, heat network and retail businesses in this region, increase customer base, and efficiently address the issues with accounts receivable using the expertise of BashRTS,” said Ilnar MIRSIYAPOV, Head of Strategy and Investments Unit of PJSC Inter RAO. “This transaction also reinforced the leadership of Inter RAO Group in Russian electricity retail, as we increased our share of the retail market above 17%.”
