Construction of an Oil Products Trunk Pipeline from the Volgograd Refinery to the Tinguta PEPS Has Begun

Construction of an Oil Products Trunk Pipeline from the Volgograd Refinery to the Tinguta PEPS Has Begun Transneft – Pipeline Construction Directorate, LLC got down to construction of the linear portion of an oil products trunk pipeline (OPTP) to link LUKOIL’s Volgograd Refinery with the future Tinguta pipe-end pump station (PEPS).

The work represents Stage 2 of the Yug Project.

Welding operations started on 16 January 2016. Construction of the 55.6-km OPTP and erection of the Tinguta PEPS will be completed in H2 2017. The pipeline diameter is 350 mm and its throughput will be 3 MTPA.

Construction of the oil products pipeline has been planned for transfer of the diesel fuel produced by LUKOIL-Volgograd Refinery to the Volgograd – Tikhoretsk oil products pipeline to be built as part of the Yug Project.

The Yug Project envisages construction of an oil products pipeline for supplies of Euro-5 diesel fuel both for export and the domestic market of southern Russia.
