Turboatom continues work on equipment for Kakhovka HPP

At PJSC "Turboatom" continues work on manufacturing of equipment for Kakhovka HPP (station No 2). In November 2015 the enterprise's specialists have manufactured turbine shaft, hydroturbine runner is preparing for control assemblage and functional, oil testing.

Previously, in September, embedded parts and components of embedded parts and also runner chamber were manufactured and shipped. All units of modernization of hydraulic unit have arrived at the plant and workshops of enterprise are working on their rehabilitation.

In accordance with the contract signed in 2014 PJSC "Turboatom" modernizing Kaplan type turbine for hydraulic unit (station No 2) Kakhovka HPP. Enterprise will renovate runner, manufacture new guide vanes, shaft, oil head, and will replace embedded parts. After rehabilitation reliability and service life of turbine will be increased. Obligations of the enterprise also include supervision of erection, participation in pre-commissioning and commissioning of the equipment.

Term of equipment supply is - April 2016. Start of hydraulic unit is scheduled for 2016.
